*SB or DVBE Only* Roll-Up Door Services in Yuba County

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking to award a contract for roll-up door repair and maintenance services at their facility located at 981 North Beale Road, Caltrans Shop 3 in Yuba County. This solicitation is authorized under Government Code Section 14838.7, which allows contracts for public works with an estimated value between $5,000 and $461,000 to be awarded to certified small businesses (SB), micro businesses (MB), or disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBE).

The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of roll-up doors critical to the operations of Caltrans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, parts, supplies, equipment, tools, licenses, permits, travel, and incidentals necessary for both routine and non-routine roll-up door repair and maintenance services. Specific tasks include:
- Inspecting motor operation
- Switch and button operation
- Springs for tension
- Rollers for alignment
- Panels and hinges for straightness
- Track channels for alignment
- Safety edges for operation
- Adjusting limit switches
- Lubricating and adjusting all parts as necessary
- Repairing or replacing parts as needed.

The contractor must respond to routine service requests within 48 hours and complete work within five working days. Non-routine services must begin within 24 hours of notification and be completed within 48 hours. All work must comply with applicable codes and standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on September 1, 2025 (estimated) or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later. The contract will expire on August 31, 2028 (estimated). Routine services are expected during standard working hours from Monday to Friday, while non-routine services are available on a 24/7 basis.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at Caltrans Shop 3 located at 981 North Beale Road, Marysville, CA 95901.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C-61/D-28 – Doors, Gates, and Activating Devices Contractor license issued by the California Contractor's State License Board (CSLB) at the time of bid submission and throughout the duration of the agreement. Bidders must also have a current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Additionally, bidders must submit a non-collusion declaration for public works along with their bid proposal.
