*SB or DVBE Only* Preventative Maintenance and Repair Services in San Diego County

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking to award a contract for preventative maintenance and repair services for HVAC systems in San Diego County. This contract is specifically aimed at small businesses (SB) and disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBE) as part of the state's initiative to support these entities.

The goal is to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of critical HVAC infrastructure within the state’s transportation facilities.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, vehicles, tools, materials, parts, permits, supplies, travel, disposal/recycling of waste, reports, and incidentals required to maintain, repair, and restore HVAC systems. Specifically, this includes:

1) Routine annual preventative maintenance inspections for two (2) boilers;
2) Routine quarterly preventative maintenance inspections for two (2) primary pumps, two (2) secondary pumps, two (2) secondary motors, and one (1) expansion tank;
3) Hourly labor rates for routine repairs on the specified equipment;
4) Hourly labor rates for non-routine repairs on the specified equipment.

All services will be performed at Caltrans District 11 Transportation Maintenance Center located at 7183 Opportunity Road, San Diego, CA 92111.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance for this contract will commence on October 15, 2024.
