SB/MB/DVBE OPTION- Bathroom Remodel Services in Los Angeles County

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ) for Bathroom Remodel Services in Los Angeles County. The contract aims to upgrade and remodel existing restroom facilities at the Caltrans Pump-Communications South (PCS) crew facility located at 5510 East Willow Street, Long Beach, CA. This project is authorized under Government Code Section 14838.7, which allows for contracts related to construction with an estimated value between $5,000 and $461,000 to be awarded to certified small businesses (SB), micro businesses (MB), or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE).

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, permits, and incidentals necessary for the bathroom remodel. Specific tasks include:

1. Removal of existing fixtures and installation of new ones including a toilet, urinal, bathroom stall, vanity cabinet with sink and faucet, lighting fixtures, exhaust fan, air conditioning duct, drywall work, and flooring installation.

2. All work must comply with the California Building Code (CBC) and manufacturer's installation requirements.

3. The contractor must ensure proper disposal of debris and coordinate with Caltrans regarding any existing infrastructure that may be affected during the remodel.

4. Installation of new plumbing and electrical systems as required for the new fixtures.

5. The project includes specific requirements for materials such as American Standard brand sinks or equivalent and specific types of lighting fixtures.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on June 1, 2026 (estimated), upon approval by Caltrans and will expire on June 30, 2027 (estimated). Routine services are to be performed during normal business hours from Monday through Friday.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Caltrans Pump-Communications South (PCS) crew facility located at 5510 East Willow Street, Long Beach, CA 90815 in Los Angeles County.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a current B-General Building Contractor license issued by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB), be certified as a small business (SB), micro business (MB), or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), and possess a valid registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Subcontracting is not permitted under this Agreement.
