Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation And Replacement Program (SSRRP) Project 11

Background
The Long Beach Public Utilities Department is issuing a contract for the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation and Replacement Program (SSRRP) Project 11. The project aims to rehabilitate approximately 72 existing sewer segments using various methodologies to enhance the sewer infrastructure in Long Beach, California.

Work Details
The work includes rehabilitation of approximately 72 existing LBUD sewer segments using methodologies such as full pipe CIPP liner, point repair pipe replacement, wye replacement, clean sewer jetting, root ball removal, and top hat installation.

Additional tasks include pre-construction and post-construction CCTV inspection, traffic control setup, sewer bypassing, and surface restoration. Specific items to be completed include:
- Mobilization/Demobilization
- Traffic Control and Restriping
- Construction Information Signs
- Temporary Bypass Facilities and Sewage Spill Prevention Plan
- Rehabilitation of 8-inch CIPP for 17,600 linear feet
- Point Repair of Existing 8-inch Sewer Pipe for 40 linear feet
- Restoration of Existing Laterals to Sewer Pipe Following Lining/Segment Lining for 512 units
- Restoration of Existing Laterals to Sewer Pipe Following Point Repair (Wye Replacement) for 17 units
- Service Lateral Connection Sealing (Top-Hat Repair System) for 23 units
- Root Ball Removal and Disposal from Sewer Lateral for 47 units
- Cleaning of Sewer Main and Disposal of Material Removed from Sewer for 20,700 linear feet
- Pre-Construction CCTV Inspection of Sewer Main for 20,700 linear feet
- Post-Construction CCTV Inspection of Sewer Main for 20,700 linear feet.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed within three hundred twenty (320) calendar days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various independent locations throughout the City of Long Beach, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid California Class 'A' General Engineering Contractor license at the time the contract is awarded. Additionally, bidders are required to comply with California wage rate requirements and must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. The project is subject to compliance monitoring by the Department of Industrial Relations.
