Roof Replacement Services at Bridgeville Maintenance Station in Humboldt County

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking a contractor to provide roof replacement services at the Bridgeville Maintenance Station in Humboldt County. The purpose of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and safety of state infrastructure by replacing the existing roofing system, which is crucial for protecting the facility from environmental elements.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, travel, equipment, permits, and incidentals necessary for performing all work involved in the removal, disposal, and replacement of the existing roofing system at the Caltrans Bridgeville Maintenance Station. The scope includes:

1. Installation of a metal roofing system consisting of approximately 3100 sq. ft. of metal roof panels with concealed fasteners, sealants, insulation, roof ventilation, rain gutters, downspouts, and other necessary accessories for a complete installation.

2. Roof panels must be 24-gauge or thicker and fabricated in continuous lengths from ridge to eave.

3. Insulation must conform to ASTM standards with an R-value of R-25 or better.

4. Removal and replacement of existing roof vent turbines with continuous ridge vents made from industrial-strength metal.

5. Replacement of rain gutters and downspouts with seamless commercial-grade materials.

6. Compliance with all applicable building codes and regulations including CAL-OSHA standards.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on June 1, 2025 (estimate) and will expire on November 30, 2025 (estimate). Work shall be performed during normal business hours from Monday to Friday.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at District 1, Caltrans Bridgeville Maintenance Station located at 26360 Highway 36, Bridgeville, CA 95526 in Humboldt County.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a current and valid C-39 Roofing Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) for the type of work to be performed. Bidders must also possess a valid registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and be certified as a small business registered with the California Department of General Services (DGS). Subcontracting is not permitted under this Agreement.
