Description

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, permits and fees necessary for the Roll-Up Door & Door Operator Replacement at the San Francisco Motor Vehicle Storage Building (MVSB), 100 Armory Drive, San Francisco, CA 95132. Work to include: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and supervision to complete the replacement of the Roll-Up Door and Door Operators at the San Francisco Motor Vehicle Storage Building (MVSB). All work shall be in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements of this Invitation for Bid (IFB). Bid submissions shall be emailed to PWC@cmd.ca.gov with the subject title BID FOR EVENT# 36314 - DO NOT OPEN. Bidders are not required to visit the worksite. Bidders are responsible for satisfying themselves as to the local conditions, to accurately measure area and ensure the actual area of work for the preparation of their bid. Contractors bidding without visiting the worksite, do so at their own risk. Bidders can schedule a worksite visit by contacting SSG Brandy Llamas at Brandy.llamas@cmd.ca.gov, or Captain Garrett Sawtelle at Garrett.Sawtelle@cmd.ca.gov. In fairness to all bidders in the competitive process, contractors shall not have the opportunity to adjust their price after proposal submission. Contractors must account for cost fluctuation and material logistics in the market when bidding. The prime contractor MUST possess a type D-28 - Doors, Gates and Activating Devices license, or subcontract to one. Background
The State of California, Office of the Adjutant General, California Military Department is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Roll-Up Door & Door Operator Replacement at the San Francisco Motor Vehicle Storage Building (MVSB).

The project aims to replace existing roll-up doors and door operators to enhance operational efficiency and security at the facility located at 100 Armory Drive, San Francisco, CA 95132.

Work Details
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, permits, and fees necessary for the replacement of the Roll-Up Door and Door Operators at the San Francisco Motor Vehicle Storage Building (MVSB).

All work must comply with the terms, conditions, and requirements outlined in this IFB. The prime contractor must possess a type D-28 - Doors, Gates and Activating Devices license or subcontract to one. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with applicable codes and standards.

Period of Performance
The contractor will be allowed 180 calendar days to complete this project.

The period of performance will commence on the job start meeting date, which will occur within 7 days after receipt of the fully executed contract and issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

The contract will be performed at the San Francisco Motor Vehicle Storage Building located at 100 Armory Drive, San Francisco, CA 95132.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed by the State of California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) and hold a type D-28 license or subcontract to a licensed entity.

Additionally, prime contractors must subcontract a minimum of 5% of work to certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBEs) unless they are themselves certified as such. Bidders must also comply with various certifications including Drug-Free Workplace Certification and provide evidence of insurance coverage as required.
