Rfq - Thermal Optic Monoculars

Background
The County of San Diego is seeking quotes from firms to provide Thermal Optic Monoculars for the Sheriff's Office. The contract aims to enhance the capabilities of the Sheriff's Office's Special Enforcement Detail (SED) by supplying advanced thermal imaging equipment.
The anticipated contract term includes an initial base period of one year with an option for an additional year.

Work Details
The successful offerors will provide the following products:
1) Medium/long-range monocular thermal imaging system (Pixels on Target Voodoo-M or equivalent) with specifications including a minimum resolution of 640 x 480, digital zoom capabilities, a maximum weight of 19 ounces, and a minimum battery run time of 6 hours;
2) Short/medium range monocular (Pixels on Target Voodoo-S or equivalent) with similar specifications but lighter weight and shorter battery life;
3) Enhanced clip-on thermal imager adapter compatible with Saran Optics 1 ECOTI, including a warranty starting upon delivery acceptance.
The initial order must be delivered by January 31, 2026, to the specified address in El Cajon, CA.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to last for one year with an option for an additional year.
The initial order delivery deadline is January 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
Delivery will be made to San Diego County Sheriff, Attn: SED, 1745 N. Marshall Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020.

Bidder Requirements

They must also adhere to federal provisions regarding debarment and suspension, as well as compliance with the Clean Air Act and other federal regulations.
