Rfq - Non-Profit Organization Support For County Language Services And Community Engagement For A One-Year Pilot Project - Spanish

Background
The County of San Diego is seeking qualified firms to provide non-profit organization support for county language services and community engagement for a one-year pilot project focused on Spanish.
The goal of this contract is to enhance language access and community engagement efforts within the Spanish-speaking population in the county.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing the following services: conducting community engagement, document translation, and in-person consecutive interpretation in Spanish.
The contractor must demonstrate experience in these areas and provide a detailed technical approach that includes staff qualifications, responsibilities, and examples of past work.
Specific tasks include documenting tasks and deliverables related to community engagement, translation, and interpretation services.
Additionally, the contractor must provide evidence of their understanding of cultural nuances between English and Spanish, as well as their ability to respect cultural differences in communication styles.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a one-year period starting from the date of award.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within San Diego County.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of relevant certifications for translation and interpretation staff.
They should also submit additional forms if they have not previously done business with the County, including Form W-9 and California withholding exemption forms.
The County may award up to two contracts based on performance factors including technical approach, qualifications, experience, price, and adherence to County terms and conditions.
