Background
The County of Alameda is seeking to procure landscape maintenance services for three separate sites located in the San Lorenzo and Hayward areas. The contract aims to support the County's commitment to environmental sustainability by utilizing environmentally preferable products that perform at equal or higher levels than traditional options.

The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who meets the County's requirements. The contract duration is three years, with an option for a two-year renewal.

Work Details
The contractor will provide weekly landscape maintenance services at three designated sites:

1. **Grant Avenue, San Lorenzo**: Maintenance includes pruning trees, removing trash and weeds, installing and maintaining mulch, and providing irrigation as needed. The site features a Bay Friendly landscape with various plants and trees.

2. **Washington Avenue, San Lorenzo**: Responsibilities include maintaining tree wells, pruning trees and shrubs, removing trash and weeds, adjusting tree grates, and installing mulch annually. This site includes a landscaped gateway area with an irrigation system.

3. **Hampton Road, Hayward**: Tasks involve maintaining tree wells, pruning trees for clearance, watering using a manual irrigation system at the gateway location, and ensuring proper mulch levels to eliminate tripping hazards.

General operations include inspecting plant material weekly during dry seasons for irrigation needs, using quality equipment compliant with regulations, disposing of green waste properly, performing minor repairs as part of maintenance costs, ensuring safety practices are followed during operations, and maintaining communication with the County regarding any issues or damages.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 1, 2024, and will last for three years with an option to renew for an additional two years.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at three locations in Alameda County: Grant Avenue in San Lorenzo, Washington Avenue in San Lorenzo, and Hampton Road in Hayward.
