Background
The County of San Diego, through its Department of General Services, is seeking to procure two (2) 2025 or newer/unused Ford Expedition XL SSV vehicles. This procurement is part of the County's ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance its fleet capabilities. The vehicles will be utilized for various county operations, ensuring compliance with federal and California emissions standards. The contract is specifically reserved for local businesses as per the Board of Supervisors Minute Order dated January 28, 2025.
Work Details
The contractor will provide two (2) Ford Expedition XL SSV vehicles with the following specifications:
1. Base Vehicle:
- Model: 2025 or Newer/Unused Ford Expedition Model XL SSV 4WD (QTY 2)
- Powertrain: 3.5L EcoBoost, 4WD, 10 Speed Transmission
- Exterior Color: Oxford White
- Interior Color: Dark Gray
- Conforms to Federal and California emissions standards.
- Four (4) sets of fully programmed keys.
- Option Package: Equipment Group 102A SSV Package.
2. Outfitting includes:
- Tinting for front windows at 20%, rear windows at 5%, and windshield brow at 20%.
- All Weather Floor Mats (Weather Tech).
- Tires: Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor LT265/70 R17.
- Installation of Rough Country 3" Suspension Lift Kit.
- Perimeter lighting with IntelliSwitch and various LED components.
- Console system including a Troy Universal Console and multiple electrical components.
- Winch/Bumper installation including Warn ZEON winch and associated equipment.
- Front partition installation using Setina expanded metal partition.
- OEM trailer brake controls from Ford.
- Installation of a wireless automated fueling system compatible with the vehicle model.
3. Delivery Requirements:
- Vehicles must be registered in California as exempt with the Department of Motor Vehicles and delivered within specified timelines.
Period of Performance
The delivery of the vehicles must occur no later than 120 days after receipt of the purchase order or fully executed contract. The contractor is required to provide status updates at intervals of 30, 60, 90, and 120 days post-order confirmation.
Place of Performance
The delivery location is primarily set at County of San Diego, DGS Fleet Services, located at 5610 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123.
