Background
The County of San Diego, through its Library Department, is seeking quotations from qualified firms to provide compatible voice communications and lapel speaker microphones.
This initiative aims to enhance communication capabilities for the Department of Environmental Health and Quality's Hazardous Incident Response Team (HIRT), ensuring interoperability with existing equipment during emergency response operations.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of hands-free voice communication systems and Bluetooth lapel speaker/Push to Talk (PTT) microphones that are compatible with current equipment used by HIRT and local agencies.
Specific requirements include:
1. Voice communication systems must meet or exceed the specifications of 3M Scott Epic 3 RDI (201276-12) or an approved equivalent.
2. Bluetooth lapel speaker/PTT microphones must meet or exceed the specifications of 3M Scott Epic 3 Bluetooth Lapel Speaker Microphone (201277-06) or an approved equivalent.
3. Compatibility with Motorola APX series handheld field radios and 3M Scott AV-3000 series facepieces is essential.
4. Products must comply with NFPA 1981 fire safety standards, be lightweight, have ingress protection, reliable audio features, and include a manufacturer's warranty.
5. If products are found defective within 30 days, they must be exchanged at no cost to the County.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue as specified in the purchase order, with delivery timelines established by the contractor's proposal.

Place of Performance
Products will be delivered to the Department of Environmental Health and Quality, Hazardous Materials Division, located at 5570 Overland Ave., Suite 102, San Diego, CA 92123.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide necessary documentation including a Request For Quotation Cover Page, Purchasing and Contracting Representations and Certifications, Non-Disclosure Indemnification Agreement, Byrd-Anti Lobbying Amendment Certification, Submittals (Other Factors), Pricing Schedule, and if applicable for new vendors: Form W-9 and California Forms 590 and 587 for tax purposes.
