Rfp - Urgent Services For In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS)

Background
The County of San Diego is seeking proposals from firms to provide Urgent Services for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS). This initiative is part of the Aging and Independence Services department, aimed at enhancing support for individuals requiring in-home assistance. The contract is expected to commence on August 1, 2025, with an initial term of one year and two optional one-year extensions.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for delivering urgent in-home supportive services to eligible recipients. This includes but is not limited to:
- Personal care services
- Companionship
- Meal preparation
- Assistance with daily living activities.

The contractor must demonstrate culturally responsive service provision and trauma-informed care practices. A detailed Statement of Work (Exhibit A) outlines specific requirements and expectations for service delivery, including quality assurance measures and performance monitoring.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial base period of one year starting from August 1, 2025, with the possibility of two additional one-year extensions based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of San Diego County, California.
