RFP - On-Call, As-Needed Environmental Professional Services

Background
The City of Redwood City, located in the heart of Silicon Valley with a population of over 86,000, is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide on-call, as-needed environmental professional services.

The Engineering and Transportation Department and the Public Works Department are responsible for maintaining the City’s infrastructure, including sewer systems, water systems, roads, bridges, and flood protection systems. This RFP invites qualified firms to submit proposals for environmental services related to various utility infrastructure and urban facilities projects.

Work Details
The consultant will provide a range of environmental services including:
1) Assisting in obtaining permits for compliance with environmental laws;
2) Compliance activities related to hazardous waste regulations;
3) Compliance with California Air Resources Board regulations;
4) Preparing comprehensive environmental assessments and technical studies;
5) Conducting pre-construction surveys for wildlife;
6) Providing environmental training;
7) Offering construction monitoring and mitigation services;
8) Preparing environmental surveys and monitoring reports;
9) Observing dewatering activities and maintaining logs;
10) Filing project completion reports;
11) Assisting with NEPA/CEQA documentation;
12) Identifying necessary environmental documents for project approvals;
13) Preparing various environmental studies and declarations;
14) Advising on changes in environmental regulations;
15) Coordinating with permitting agencies;
16) Attending public meetings for technical presentations; and
17) Reviewing civil engineering plans for sewer facilities.

Period of Performance
The contract is intended to last three years from May 2025 through May 2028, with an option to extend for two additional one-year terms based on satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the City of Redwood City.
