RFP Moving Services for Napa County Detention Facility

Background
Napa County’s Public Works Department is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain services for moving the Napa County Department of Corrections Facility’s employee contents, files, supplies, kitchen perishables/dry goods, and other miscellaneous items from the existing Napa County Corrections Facility located at 1125 Third Street, Napa CA 94559 to the new Napa County Replacement Detention Facility located at 2210 Napa-Vallejo Hwy., Napa CA 94559.

The goal of this contract is to ensure a smooth transition of all necessary items to the new facility in a timely and efficient manner.

Work Details
The moving services will include:
1. Furnishing and delivering clean-up bins and packing materials.
2. Packing assistance for kitchen perishables, dry goods, small wares, inmate supplies, and mechanical shop items.
3. IT support including unboxing and setting up monitors and peripherals.
4. Removal of packing materials and trash at the destination.
5. Physical move anticipated over 5 business days.
6. Unpacking assistance and fine-tuning at the destination.
7. Post-move support including two post-move crate and box pickups.

Period of Performance
The term of the contract is anticipated to be five months from the agreement date until July 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Napa County, California, specifically between the existing Napa County Corrections Facility at 1125 Third Street, Napa CA 94559 and the new Napa County Replacement Detention Facility at 2210 Napa-Vallejo Hwy., Napa CA 94559.
