RFP# C24740001 - Ground Transportation Operations and Maintenance at the Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument

Background
The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), San Luis Obispo Coast District, is issuing this RFP to receive Proposals from qualified firms (Proposers) to provide Ground Transportation Operations and Maintenance at the Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument (Hearst Castle). The California Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) expects every member of the Contractor’s Team to be familiar with the Standard Operating Procedures Manual (SOP) for the maintenance of the bus operations and maintenance facilities for the operation of the ground transportation service at Hearst Castle.
DPR considers its service contractors to be its business partners and welcomes their comments and suggestions on how to improve the methods by which DPR services are delivered.

Work Details
The Contractor is expected to enter into a mandatory lease with the State for the operations and maintenance facilities. The Contractor shall provide comprehensive facilities management and maintenance services for DPR in accordance with the SOP.
The Contractor will maintain the facilities in a clean and orderly condition at all times during the Contract.
The Contractor will be responsible for all utilities and maintenance costs for the facilities, including routine/general maintenance.
The Contractor shall employ well-trained, professional, and competent staff in all levels of the organization that services DPR under this agreement.
The Contractor will be responsible for providing routine maintenance, operation, and repair of the entire bus operations and maintenance facilities, including administration offices, maintenance shop, and specified equipment areas.
Additionally, the Contractor will be responsible for waste removal and management, facility security, facility condition assessment, corrective actions, repairs, and remedies.

The geographic location for performance is at Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument (Hearst Castle) in San Luis Obispo Coast District.
