Background
The City of Jurupa Valley is soliciting proposals from reputable design firms with expertise in Architectural and Engineering (A&E) services for the Avalon Street Building Renovation Project located at 2625 Avalon Street.
The project involves three existing buildings: a Congregational Hall, a Kitchen/Office Building, and a Multipurpose Building.
The City aims to enhance infrastructure, promote economic growth, and ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
Work Details
The selected consultant will provide comprehensive A&E services including:
- Implementation of accessibility upgrades per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Replacement of HVAC units across all buildings.
- Roof and fascia replacement for Buildings 1 and 2, ensuring compliance with current building standards.
- Replacement of plumbing fixtures and restroom partitions to meet ADA and water-efficiency standards.
- Design and installation of a fire sprinkler system for Building 3.
- Upgrade of emergency lighting and exit signage to current code requirements.
- Repair and upgrade of interior/exterior lighting systems to LED standards.
- Design and coordination of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
- Various interior repairs including drywall replacement.
- Landscape improvements in compliance with California water-efficiency regulations.
- Replacement of fencing and access gates, along with parking lot improvements.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award in May 2026, with an estimated completion timeframe spanning approximately 18 months.

The work will be performed at the Avalon Street site located at 2625 Avalon Street, Jurupa Valley, CA.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must be properly licensed in California for the services performed, have completed at least three similar projects within the last five years, possess sufficient staff or sub-consultants for required disciplines, provide references from previous contracts, and maintain compliance with all applicable laws.
