Background
The County of Alameda Health – Family Health Services is seeking to contract medical therapy staffing services to ensure that medically eligible clients receive necessary physical and occupational therapy. The contract aims to address staffing shortages in the Alameda County Public Health Department's Medical Therapy Programs (MTP), which are mandated by California regulations.

The County intends to award a three-year contract, with an option to renew for two additional years, to a pool of up to five responsible bidders who meet the requirements outlined in the RFP.

Work Details
The contractor will provide licensed Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Senior Therapists, and Supervising Therapists. Services include:
- Recruitment and placement of qualified medical therapy professionals within two weeks of a request from the County.
- Ongoing support and direction for Medical Therapy Units staff by Supervising Therapists.
- Transitioning existing medical therapy personnel from previous contracts at specified pay rates and benefit levels.
- Compliance with all Federal and California employment laws.
- Monthly reporting on personnel hours and services provided.

The contractor must actively recruit professionals from diverse backgrounds and provide proof of active professional licensure for all candidates placed.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on February 1, 2025, and will last for three years, with an option for two one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at five medical therapy units located in Fremont, Livermore, San Lorenzo, and two in Oakland, California.
