RFP 5000002900 for Auditing and Consulting Services Pool

Background
CalSTRS issued RFP 5000002900 to establish a pool of qualified firms to perform audits or consulting services within three Specialty Areas of organizational activities, information technology, and investments on an as-needed basis. The purpose of the RFP is to establish a new pool of eligible firms to perform various Audit Services projects as outlined in the RFP Statement of Work.

Work Details
The RFP requires completion of Proposal Questionnaires for each Specialty Area marked 'yes' in Attachment 3. Each firm is responsible for providing resources needed to complete specific project objectives and scope of work outlined in the Supplemental Information Request (SIR) process.
The number of auditing and consulting projects varies from year to year based on risk. CalSTRS uses several systems including SAP, BlackRock, and Bloomberg to support strategic objectives.

Period of Performance
The external resources will be utilized on an as-needed basis starting on July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2029. The timing of engagements depends on factors such as management urgency, competing priorities, and staff availability.

Place of Performance
Most engagements will be performed remotely, with occasional onsite presence.
