Background
The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) is dedicated to serving California veterans and their families, ensuring they receive the benefits and services they have earned. With nearly 1.6 million veterans in the state, CalVet oversees eight Veteran Homes, including the Veterans Home of California in Yountville, which is currently facing staffing challenges.

This contract aims to provide Temporary Relief Substitute Nurse Services to address staffing shortages for licensed Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

Work Details
The contractor will provide temporary relief services for RNs, LVNs, and CNAs at the Veterans Home of California in Yountville. The contractor must supply all necessary materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, insurance, and personnel to ensure high-quality medical care consistent with available resources.

The services include substituting for staff on leave or vacation and covering vacant positions. Additionally, the contractor must ensure compliance with clinical evaluations and documentation standards set forth by Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations regarding community care licensing.

Period of Performance
The anticipated start date for the agreement is September 1, 2024. All performance under the agreement must be completed by the termination date specified in the contract.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Veterans Home of California located in Yountville, California.
