Description

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Office of Policy and Planning is solicitating proposals from firms that can provide services to further develop the trauma responsive professional development programs curricula specific to the public health sector. Services include providing trainings to CDPH staff, developing a CDPH-specific critical incident response plan and training designated staff, providing individual and/or team coaching, and collaborating with the organization to implement its trauma responsive cultural transformation strategic plan. CDPHs goal is to become a model organization for trauma-informed leadership, teams, workplaces, and cultures. Partnering with an experienced firm, we aim to create a healthier and more resilient workplace, a healing organization where we promote a culture of recognizing and mitigating the adverse effects of chronic toxic stress and trauma. Proposals must address all the services described in Exhibit A entitled, Scope of Work and demonstrate all qualifications.
Background
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Office of Policy and Planning is seeking proposals from qualified firms to develop trauma responsive professional development programs specifically for the public health sector.

The initiative aims to create a model organization for trauma-informed leadership and workplace culture, addressing the adverse effects of chronic toxic stress and trauma experienced by staff due to various societal challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic. CDPH's goal is to foster a healthier and more resilient workplace through collaboration with an experienced firm.

Work Details
The selected contractor will provide the following services:
1. Develop curricula for trauma responsive professional development programs tailored to CDPH staff.
2. Conduct training sessions for CDPH personnel.
3. Create a CDPH-specific critical incident response plan and train designated staff on its implementation.
4. Offer individual and team coaching services.
5. Collaborate with CDPH to implement its trauma responsive cultural transformation strategic plan, ensuring all proposals address the services outlined in Exhibit A, 'Scope of Work'.

Period of Performance
The contract term is expected to commence on December 2, 2024, and conclude on December 1, 2027, with potential extensions available based on performance and funding.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at locations designated by the California Department of Public Health.
