Rfb - Job Order Contract (JOC) 357 Mechanical Contractor

Background
The County of San Diego is issuing a Job Order Contract (JOC) for mechanical contracting services.

The Simplebid UPB (Unit Price Book) has been prepared to facilitate the job order contracting construction procurement method, which aims to streamline the process of obtaining construction services through a database of construction tasks and associated unit costs.

Work Details
The Simplebid UPB includes both itemized unit costs and assembly level line items for various construction tasks.

It covers labor, equipment, and materials required for complete installations. The pricing structure reflects subcontractor costs and excludes general conditions and requirements, which must be accounted for in the contractor's Adjustment Factors.

The UPB is organized by CSI MasterFormat® into four subgroups: General Requirements, Facility Construction, Facility Services, and Site and Infrastructure. Contractors are responsible for reviewing all project-specific documents to determine Adjustment Factors as solicited by The County of San Diego.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from April 15, 2025, with specific performance timelines defined within individual work orders issued under the JOC.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in various locations throughout San Diego County as specified in individual work orders.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must utilize the Simplebid software exclusively for preparing JOC Adjustment Factors and responding to work order proposals.

They are required to comply with all applicable laws, codes, statutes, and industry standards as prescribed by The County of San Diego.
