Request for Proposals for Dental Services

Background
The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) is an integrated health system providing healthcare throughout Los Angeles County. DHS operates four acute care hospitals and 26 health centers, serving a diverse population.

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit qualified vendors to provide dental services at DHS facilities, reflecting the agency's commitment to equity and opportunity.

Work Details
The selected contractors will provide dental services across six designated service sites as detailed in Appendix B (Statement of Work). Services include labor, supervision, and any necessary work for performance under the resultant agreements.

Proposers must demonstrate at least three years of experience in providing dental services similar to those required by DHS, hold an active license from the Dental Board of California, and be registered with the DEA. Each proposal must include separate business and cost proposals for each service site.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term of the agreement is five years with three optional one-year extensions, commencing upon execution by both parties following approval by the County's Board of Supervisors.

Place of Performance
Services will be provided at various DHS facilities located throughout Los Angeles County.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must register on the County’s WebVen prior to submitting proposals. They must comply with the Living Wage Program, which mandates specific hourly wage rates effective January 1st each year.

Proposers are also required to adhere to various compliance certifications including those related to jury service, human trafficking policies, and fair chance employment practices.
