Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this contract for the removal of AC surfacing, HMA (Bridge), and crack treatment in Contra Costa and Solano Counties.

The project aims to enhance the safety and functionality of the roadways in the specified areas, particularly from the Union Pacific Railroad overhead to 0.8 miles south of Route 80/29 separation.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Remove existing AC surfacing from designated areas.
2. Perform Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) work on bridge structures.
3. Conduct crack treatment on specified sections of the roadway.

The estimated amount for this project is $6,200,000, which is subject to change.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within 30 working days.

Place of Performance
The work will take place in Contra Costa and Solano Counties, specifically at Crockett and in Vallejo along Route 80.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess either a Class A contractor's license or a Class C-12 license, which constitutes a majority of the work required.
