Re-Bid Project No.: 1368A Carriage Crest Park Support Buildings

The work of this contract involves the construction of four separate type VB non-sprinklered support buildings at Carriage Crest Park, located at 23800 S Figueroa Street, Carson, California 90712. The buildings will be constructed as part of a fast-track project and are to be placed on mat foundations as specified in the structural documents. The structures will feature eight masonry walls and wood roofs clad with standing seam metal. The project includes the following buildings: Building 1 is a 1,005 SF concessions/restroom facility equipped with a PTAC unit for the concessions space, two drinking fountains on the west side near the restroom entrances, vents and screens in the upper roof portion for natural ventilation in the restroom area, and a methane mitigation system. Building 2 is a 340 SF restroom building with exterior lavatories. Building 3 is a 325 SF storage facility located approximately 15 feet from the east wall of Building 2, utilizing vents and screens in the upper wall and roof areas for natural ventilation. Building 4 is a 75 SF storage building, also designed with vents and screens in the upper roof portion for natural ventilation. The scope of work is not limited to these elements and may include additional related tasks as indicated in the contract documents. The City of Carson is requesting this work as part of the ongoing expansion of Carriage Crest Park from its original 4 acres into a 14-acre site, incorporating an adjacent 10-acre former nursery. This project will run concurrently with the remainder of the park development, which is currently being performed by the contractor 'urban habitat' and is expected to be completed in December 2025, resulting in an overlap of work. The contractor for this project is required to provide a designated path of travel and staging area, with staging criteria specified. A Project Labor Agreement (PLA) is in place for this contract.
