Background
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is seeking qualified Geotechnical Engineering firms to provide essential services in support of the District's Facilities Maintenance and Operations (M&O) and Architectural and Engineering (A/E) Services Group.

The goal of this contract is to assist in the modernization of existing school facilities through geotechnical pre-design and investigations for current repair and modernization programs. The District aims to enhance the quality of its facilities programs by ensuring that key design decisions are technically sound.

Work Details
The selected firms will provide geotechnical engineering support services during the design and construction phases of the facilities programs. This includes independent technical support and advice as needed, which will be critical in ensuring that the program's design directives are based on sound engineering principles.

Period of Performance
The RFQ is tentatively scheduled for release on August 1, 2024, with Statements of Qualifications due by September 6, 2024. The specific period of performance for the contract will be determined upon selection.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
