Quikdeck Decking System Services in Sacramento, Humboldt, Del Norte, Nevada, Shasta, Alameda, Mendocino, and Yolo Counties

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #04A7249 for Quikdeck Decking System Services in various counties including Sacramento, Humboldt, Del Norte, Nevada, Shasta, Alameda, Mendocino, and Yolo.
The goal of this contract is to provide necessary support for the maintenance and operation of Caltrans-owned Quikdeck decking systems while paint crews perform bridge cleaning and painting.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, transportation, supplies, parts, fees, and permits necessary for installing, disassembling, reassembling, and maintaining the Quikdeck (QD) decking system.
Specific tasks include:
1. Installation of the QD decking system at specified locations in the mentioned counties.
2. Maintenance of the QD decking system during the cleaning and painting operations by Caltrans Paint Crews.
3. The services must be performed at designated sites including Interstate 80/Highway 50 Interchange in Sacramento County and various locations in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties as detailed in Exhibit A.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to last until all services are completed as per the requirements outlined in the IFB.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed across multiple counties in Northern California including Sacramento, Humboldt, Del Norte, Nevada, Shasta, Alameda, Mendocino, and Yolo.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) at the time of bid submission. They must also hold a valid Class A General Engineering or C-61/D-39 Scaffolding Contractor’s License issued by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB).
Additionally, bidders must have a valid Motor Carrier Permit from the California DMV. Small Business (SB) participation is encouraged with a goal of 25%, although no DVBE participation requirement exists; however it is encouraged.
