Description

Background
The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (Agency), representing the Housing Authority of the County of Sacramento and the Housing Authority of the City of Sacramento, is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to establish a pool of qualified contractors for maintenance and construction services at public housing properties in Sacramento.

The Agency manages approximately 3,000 housing units and aims to facilitate various services and repairs under $24,000 for its departments and special projects funded by federal and local programs.

Work Details
Contractors will provide maintenance and construction services including but not limited to:
- Access Control, Automatic Doors, Overhead Doors & Gates (D-28)
- Countertops & Tub Surrounds (D-16)
- Drywall (C-9)
- Earthwork & Paving (C-12)
- Electrical (C-10)
- Emergency Board-up (B or C-17)
- Fencing (C-13)
- General Building (B)
- Glazing (C-17)
- Gutter Cleaning only
- Hardware, Locks & Safes (D-16)
- Janitorial Services with DIR Registration required
- Landscaping Services (mow and blow only)
- Lathing & Plastering (C-35)
- Locksmith Services
- Low Voltage (C-7)
- Ornamental Iron (C-23)
- Painting & Decorating (C-33)
- Plumbing (C-36)
- Pressure Washing Services (D-38)
- Roofing for Repairs Only (C-39)
- Trash Removal & Disposal - Haulers Must Have a Special Business License
- Tree Service (D-49)

The contractor must maintain all necessary licenses, insurance coverage, and comply with California Labor Code requirements. Each community will issue electronic Task Orders that contractors must respond to within 48 hours.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to start on May 1, 2025, with an initial term of two years and options for three additional one-year extensions, not exceeding five years total.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various public housing properties located within the City and County of Sacramento.
