Description

The Port seeks information about companies that manage parking facilities for monthly or specific customers (e.g. members, employees). The Port operates approximately ten (10) parking facilities that serve a very specific customer base including Port tenants and their employees, members of recreational organizations that rent the adjacent facilities, and businesses that rent monthly parking for company-owned trucks and shuttles. The Port requires management and operations assistance to ensure proper access to these parking facilities, as well as monitoring and enforcing compliance with the Port's site-specific parking regulations. The Port intends to issue a Request for Proposal ( RFP ) in late 2024/early 2025 for management of these parking facilities.
Background
The Port of San Francisco is seeking information from qualified parking facility management firms to assist in managing and operating approximately ten parking facilities on Port property. These facilities cater to a specific customer base, including Port tenants, their employees, members of recreational organizations, and businesses that require monthly parking for company vehicles. The goal is to ensure proper access to these facilities while monitoring and enforcing compliance with site-specific parking regulations.

An RFP is expected to be issued in late 2024 or early 2025.

Work Details
The contract will involve the management and operation of up to ten parking facilities categorized into three groups: Group A (tenant parking), Group B (tenant employees and recreational organization members), and Group C (transportation and industrial businesses).

Services required include:
- Enhancing tenant parking experience through regular monitoring
- Facilitating awareness of parking conditions
- Ensuring compliance with agreements
- Enforcing violations of parking standards
- Coordinating with emergency services
- Addressing substandard conditions
- Providing sufficient staffing for coverage during absences
- Expanding diversity among operators
- Collecting data on parking space usage.

Specific requirements for each group include checking for visible tenant passes, providing valet services for special events, managing waitlists for oversubscribed lots, and handling delinquent accounts.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance will begin after the issuance of the RFP in late 2024/early 2025.

Place of Performance
The management services will be performed at various locations along the Port property from Pier 9 north of the Ferry Building to Pier 96 in the Southern Waterfront.
