Background
The project is for the California School for the Blind in Fremont, Alameda County, California. The contract is for the widening of pedestrian walkways and fire access routes, relocation of light poles, upgrade of electrical vault, landscaping, and installation of electrical connections for future workstations.

The project also includes the removal/replacement of existing panel boards, upgrading main feeder, and connecting electrical lines between buildings 54 and 56.

Work Details
The project comprises labor, material, and services necessary for the widening of pedestrian walkways and fire access routes, relocation of light poles, upgrade of electrical vault, landscaping to act as wayfinding features for blind students, relocation of part of existing play area away from fire access and accessibility routes, improvement of play area drainage, installation of electrical connections for future workstations (N.I.C.), removal/replacement of existing 277/480V panel board with new 120/208V, 3-phase panel board.

Upgrade Building 56 main feeder, replace Building 54 main switchboard and connect electrical lines through an underground trench between Buildings 54 and 56.

Period of Performance
The term of this project is 300 calendar days.
