Procurement of Statewide Auction Services for Surplus Fleet Assets

Background
The State of California, Department of General Services (DGS), Office of Fleet and Asset Management (OFAM) has fleet assets which consist of light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles and mobile equipment herein after referred to as fleet assets that have been identified as non-essential or cost ineffective for the State’s on-going fleet operation herein after referred to as surplus fleet assets. The OFAM is procuring statewide auction facilities and services to sell the surplus fleet, pursuant to Government Code 14674, stating that all property identified as surplus must be disposed.

Work Details
Contractor shall provide statewide auction facilities and services to facilitate the sale of vehicles and personal property that the State of California (State) has determined to be surplus. The average number of items sold per year is approximately three thousand (3,000).
The anticipated term of the contract will be for two (2) years with an option to extend for one (1) year. The Bidder’s rates will stay in effect for the entire contract term. The Bidder’s required services are provided in Attachment 9, Sample Standard Agreement and Exhibits. The winning Bidder will be required to adhere to all Agreement terms as indicated in Attachment 9, Sample Standard Agreement and Exhibits.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term of the contract will be for two (2) years with an option to extend for one (1) year at the contracted rates.
