Background
The Sierra County Department of Public Works is issuing a solicitation for the Pliocene Ridge Road 2023 Emergency Storm Damage Repair project. This project aims to repair storm damage on Pliocene Ridge Road, located east of the intersection of Hells Half Acre and Pliocene Ridge Road in Sierra County, California. The work is necessary to restore the roadway and ensure safe travel for the public following severe weather events.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all equipment, materials, and labor necessary for the complete construction repair of approximately 300 feet of asphalt concrete roadway and subsurface, 25 feet in width, with a thickness of 0.333 inches. The scope includes:

- Construction surveying and job site management
- Traffic control
- Roadway excavation and compaction
- Installation of required erosion control measures
- Compliance with Cal Trans 2021 Standard Plans and Specifications
- Removal and cleaning of all construction debris from the site.

All work must be completed within 30 working days following the written Notice to Proceed.

The contract period is set to begin upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed, with all work required to be completed within 30 working days.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid California Contractors License (General A or applicable specialty license) at the time of contract award. Each bid must include a cashier's check, certified check, or bidder's bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. Bidders are also required to submit an Experience Statement, Subcontractor Listing, Equipment Supplier Listing, and Worker's Compensation Certification.
