Description

CAL FIRE is requesting a quote for a CAPT-584-R - Cockpit Avionics Procedural Tool Training Device. See RFQ attachment for details.
Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking quotes for the CAPT-584-R Cockpit Avionics Procedural Tool Training Device. This solicitation is conducted under the authority of the California Public Contract Code Section 12100, which governs purchasing for IT goods and services. CAL FIRE aims to enhance its training capabilities through this procurement.

Work Details
The contract involves providing one CAPT-584-R Cockpit Avionics Procedural Tool Training Device, which includes:
- Two fully functioning Multi-Function Displays (MFD) units
- One operational Flight Management System (FMS)
- One functional Flight Director Display Computer Panel (FDDCP)
- One laptop computer equipped with S70i software.

All components must replicate the appearance and function of those in an S70i aircraft and be mounted to simulate actual cockpit placement. The software must accurately display circuit breakers, buttons, switches, and flight controls, with capabilities to simulate malfunctions and emergencies.

Period of Performance
The solicitation was released on April 18, 2025, with responses due by May 2, 2025. The contract performance period will commence upon award.
