Paper and Cardboard Recycling Materials Collection and Removal

Background
The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is seeking to engage a contractor for the collection and removal of paper and cardboard recycling materials. This initiative aligns with Cal OES's mission to promote environmental sustainability and efficient waste management practices.

The contract aims to facilitate recycling efforts at two designated locations in the Sacramento area, thereby supporting the state's commitment to reducing waste and promoting recycling.

Work Details
The contractor will provide paper and cardboard recycling materials collection and removal services at the following locations: 601 Sequoia Pacific Blvd, Sacramento CA, 95811 (PSCHQ) and 630 Sequoia Pacific Blvd, Sacramento CA, 95811 (PSC). Specific tasks include:

1. Collecting and processing recyclable materials from designated Cal OES areas, including in-house and dockside collection locations.
2. Conducting collections during business hours (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding State holidays).
3. Providing all necessary labor, equipment, vehicles, personnel, customer service, scheduling, routes, and timely quarterly reports.
4. Collecting in-house recyclable materials 'as-is', including white paper, mixed paper, newspapers, magazines, old corrugated cardboard (OCC), and books from designated facilities.
5. Implementing dockside collection by placing collection containers ranging from 0.8 - 4.0 cubic yards for recyclable materials.
6. Meeting with the Cal OES Contract Manager as needed to discuss performance matters.
7. Submitting quarterly Tonnage Reports detailing the total pounds recycled by material type at each facility.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this agreement shall commence on April 1, 2025, or upon approval by the Department of General Services (DGS), whichever is later, and will continue through March 31, 2028.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at two locations in Sacramento County: 601 Sequoia Pacific Blvd and 630 Sequoia Pacific Blvd.
