P24-1198 Japanese Beetle Traps

Background
The California Department of Food & Agriculture is seeking to procure Japanese Beetle Traps to monitor infestation levels and conduct treatment. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective pest management through the provision of specialized traps designed for capturing Japanese beetles.

Work Details
The contract requires the supply of the following items:

1. 5,500 units of Japanese Beetle Trap Tops, made with Alpine Green Omnicolor OC6UFL colorant or equivalent, utilizing UV resistant polypropylene 8623 plastic or equivalent. Each trap top weighs between 5.5 – 6.5 oz without a hanger and 6.8 – 7.5 oz with a wire hanger.

2. 7,000 units of Japanese Beetle Catch Cans, also made with Alpine Green Omnicolor OC6UFL colorant or equivalent, utilizing UV resistant polypropylene 8623 plastic or equivalent. Each catch can weighs 1.5 oz.

3. Required samples include 24 samples of each item (totaling 48 samples) to be sent to the designated address after the bid packet has been emailed.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period begins upon acceptance of the bid and extends until all products are delivered and accepted. Specific sample submission deadlines are set between May 3, 2025, and May 15, 2025.

Place of Performance
The delivery location for the products is at the California Department of Food & Agriculture, located at 2423 E Winston Road, Anaheim, CA 92806.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with California's Small Business regulations and may claim a preference if they qualify as a California Certified Small Business or if they include certified small businesses as subcontractors for at least 25% of the net bid price. Bidders must also submit required documentation including a Bidder Declaration form (GSPD-05-105), Recycling Content Certification, and Darfur Contracting Act Certification.
