P21CA011 Camp Trailer Rental Service Concession Opportunity at Oceano Dunes SVRA and Pismo State Beach

Background
The goal of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to award a 5-year concession contract with the option to extend the term an additional 5 years to an individual or business entity to equip, maintain, furnish and operate camp trailer rental service for the public at Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) and Pismo State Beach (SB) in San Luis Obispo County, California. The pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for March 28, 2024, and proposals must be submitted by May 23, 2024.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for equipping, maintaining, furnishing, and operating camp trailer rental services for the public at Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) and Pismo State Beach (SB) in San Luis Obispo County, California. The contractor must provide a rental offer based on the Minimum Rent to be paid to the State. The Minimum Rent is a set Rental Guarantee amount or a Minimum Percentage of Gross Receipts, whichever is greater.
The proposal must include an Operation Plan covering various aspects such as marketing and advertising, community involvement programs, organizational structure, products and services, pricing policies, customer service plan, safety and security measures among others. Additionally, the proposal should include financial information such as concession development cost estimate, business financial statement, financial references and credit worthiness, and a financial proforma.

Period of Performance
The contract is for a period of 5 years with the option to extend the term an additional 5 years.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) and Pismo State Beach (SB) in San Luis Obispo County, California.
