Description

The Long Beach Public Utilities Department (LBPUD) is requesting quotations to furnish and deliver one (1) factory-assembled, 350 kW natural gas standby emergency generator set. The Work includes the removal of the existing generator, delivery of a new 350 kW generator, modification to the existing switchboard, and installation of new automatic transfer switches.
Background
The Long Beach Public Utilities Department (LBPUD) is seeking quotations for the procurement of one factory-assembled, 350 kW natural gas standby emergency generator set. This initiative aligns with LBPUD's mission to ensure reliable utility services and enhance operational resilience during emergencies.

Work Details
The contract involves the following tasks:
1. Removal of the existing generator.
2. Delivery of a new 350 kW natural gas standby emergency generator that meets outdoor installation requirements and complies with local noise control regulations, Los Angeles County Building Code, EPA standards, AQMD regulations, and CARB requirements.
3. Modification of the existing switchboard.
4. Installation of new automatic transfer switches.
5. The generator must include an integral sound-attenuated enclosure, fuel system components, control panel, and all necessary accessories for a complete and code-compliant system.
6. The contractor is responsible for factory testing, startup by an authorized supplier, and on-site testing of the system.

Period of Performance
The delivery of the generator must be completed within 180 calendar days after issuance of a notice to proceed and purchase order by LBPUD.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to Long Beach Public Utilities Department, Gas Division, located at 2400 E. Spring St., Long Beach, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with Long Beach Buys to submit a bid and should provide evidence of being an authorized factory distributor/dealer for the manufacturer quoted. A formal Letter of Certification from the manufacturer is required if not an authorized dealer. Bidders must also comply with all local business licensing requirements.
