On-Call Environmental Generalist Services

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms for On-Call Environmental Generalist Services in District 4. This initiative aims to support Caltrans' mission of ensuring safe and efficient transportation systems while adhering to environmental regulations.

The estimated contract value ranges from $18,800,000 to $30,550,000, with a goal of 22% participation from Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs).

Work Details
The Consultant will provide a range of Environmental Generalist Services including:

- Preparing environmental studies and reports
- Conducting field observations and data collection
- Assisting in the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports (EIR), Environmental Assessments (EA), and other documentation required under NEPA and CEQA
- Obtaining necessary permits
- Conducting environmental monitoring
- Supporting public outreach activities

Specific tasks include air quality studies, biological assessments, noise and vibration studies, paleontological studies, and community impact assessments. The work will be performed on projects within Marin, Napa, Solano, and Sonoma counties as assigned through Task Orders issued by Caltrans.

Period of Performance
The estimated contract term is three years.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed throughout the counties of Marin, Napa, Solano, and Sonoma in California within the limits of District 4.
