Background
The County of Sacramento is seeking proposals for on-call consulting services to support the design, environmental protection, and documentation related to the construction and improvement of environmental remediation and monitoring facilities. These facilities are operated by the Department of Waste Management and Recycling in Sacramento County, California. Work Details
The selected consultant will provide on-call support services that include:
1. Consulting Support for Groundwater Monitoring and Extraction Wells (approx. 40% of contract): This includes installation of new groundwater monitoring wells, site assessment of biological resources, design and boring log preparation, short-term pumping tests, and assistance in well destruction processes.
2. Consulting Support for Permitting, Design, and Operation of Treatment Facilities for Contaminated Water (approx. 40% of contract): This involves site assessments, environmental permitting, and design services for new groundwater extraction or leachate treatment facilities for PFAS removal.
3. Additional Construction Support as Requested (approx. 20% of contract): This may involve pre-design and construction-related support in response to regulatory orders regarding existing environmental control facilities.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the agreement is anticipated to be 24 months starting from November 1, 2025, with the possibility of extending for up to three additional one-year terms upon mutual consent.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various sites operated by the Department of Waste Management and Recycling in Sacramento County, California.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate compliance with all applicable state and federal reporting requirements relating to employment reporting for its employees. Additionally, they must certify that they have no outstanding child support obligations or have made arrangements to comply with such obligations.
