Background
The Department of Water Resources (DWR) Division of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Civil Maintenance Branch (CMB) and the Project Management Office are seeking to contract engineering services for the condition assessment, design, review, evaluation, analysis, management, and inspection of infrastructures associated with the State Water Project (SWP).
The goal is to ensure the ongoing integrity and functionality of SWP infrastructure by providing specialized engineering expertise.
Work Details
The contractor will provide on-call civil maintenance engineering services on an as-needed basis. Specific tasks include:
- Condition assessment of SWP civil assets such as canals, pipelines, penstocks, tunnels, check structures, radial gates, roadways, buildings, roofs, bridges, etc.
- Design and review of maintenance strategies for SWP infrastructure.
- Evaluation and analysis of existing infrastructure performance.
- Management and inspection services to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Recommendations for enhancing reliability through various technologies including drone imagery and leak detection methods.
- Engineering risk assessments related to operation and maintenance activities.
Period of Performance
The estimated term for this agreement is from April 8, 2025 through April 7, 2028 (three years), with options for up to two one-year amendments.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed in relation to the State Water Project infrastructure located throughout California.
