Old State Highway Pipeline Replacement

The requested work involves the furnishing of all labor, materials, tax, equipment, and services necessary for the construction and completion of new sewer and water mains and services in Newcastle, CA, as detailed in the plans and specifications prepared by GHD Inc. The project scope includes the construction of approximately 1,654 linear feet of 8-inch water main and the replacement of twenty-two existing water services, installation of five new fire hydrant assemblies, and two new air vacuum release valves under the inspection of PCWA. Under SPMUD inspection, the work includes construction of approximately 1,700 linear feet of 6-inch gravity sewer pipeline, installation of sewer manholes, and 4- and 6-inch diameter sewer laterals. It also involves the removal and abandonment of existing 4- and 6-inch gravity sewer pipes and laterals, reconnection of existing sewer laterals to the new gravity sewer main, and realignment and reconstruction of private sewer laterals on private property with reconnection to the new gravity sewer line within the right-of-way. Jointly inspected work by both PCWA and SPMUD includes the construction of approximately 33,871 square feet of pavement overlay. The solicitation is being issued under Construction Bid #Contract No. 2023-10.
