Offset Forms Web Press (DGS-OTA)

Background
The State of California, through the Department of General Services (DGS), Procurement Division, is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a One Time Acquisition of an Offset Forms Web Press. The goal is to fulfill the printing service needs of the Office of State Publishing (OSP) for various California State Departments as mandated by Government Code 14850.

This procurement aims to enhance the capabilities and efficiency of state printing operations.

Work Details
The contract includes the provision of an Offset Forms Web Press with specific requirements outlined in multiple attachments. Key components include:
1. **Unwind/Infeed Unit**: Features such as dual chain electric hoist, pneumatic brakes, automatic web guide control, and integrated blown air and vacuum web cleaner.
2. **Printing Units**: Eight print units capable of single and double-sided printing at speeds ≥ 1,200 ft/min, equipped with programmable ink and water curves.
3. **Video Monitoring System/Register Control**: High-resolution camera system for monitoring print quality.
4. **UV Ink Drying System**: A 5 LED lamp system for effective drying.
5. **Variable Data/Barcode Inkjet System**: Capable of applying variable numbering and barcodes at press speed.
6. **Business Forms Processing Module**: Includes capabilities for inline perforation and punching.
7. **Sheeter/Zigzag Folder**: Automatic adjustments for reducing paper curl and cutting.
8. **High-Pile Batcher Stacker**: For efficient stacking and delivery of printed materials.
9. **Auto Turret Rewinder**: For rewinding printed materials back onto rolls with automatic tension control.
10. **Die Cutting & Full Bleed Variable Print Inkjet System**: Additional functionalities to enhance printing versatility.

Period of Performance
The term of any agreement resulting from this IFB will be five (5) years, which includes an initial one-year warranty followed by two years of preventive maintenance services.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Office of State Publishing located in California.
