Background
The City and County of San Francisco, through the Office of Contract Administration (OCA), is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) on behalf of the Port of San Francisco.

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified suppliers to upgrade the security system at the Port. This project is grant-funded and aims to enhance the safety and security infrastructure at this critical facility.

Work Details
Proposers are required to provide proposals for upgrading the security system at the Port of San Francisco. This includes compliance with regulatory requirements, adherence to green purchasing standards, and submission of a detailed price proposal.

Proposers must ensure that their offerings meet or exceed specified performance standards and may propose alternate solutions if they can demonstrate equivalency. The scope of work includes but is not limited to:
- Installation of new security equipment
- Integration with existing systems
- Ongoing maintenance services.

Proposers must submit documentation supporting their qualifications, including evidence of previous contracts valued at $50,000 or more in the last two years, authorization letters from equipment manufacturers, and proof of necessary licenses (C-7 Low Voltage Systems license and C-10 Electrical license).

The contract will have an initial term of three years with an option for two additional years, totaling a potential five-year contract duration.
