OCA FIR | Firefighter Gear & Accessories

Background
The City and County of San Francisco, through its Office of Contract Administration (OCA), is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) on behalf of the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) to procure firefighter gear and accessories.
This solicitation is a re-bid of a previous sourcing event aimed at ensuring that the SFFD has access to necessary equipment for its operations.
The City encourages participation from diverse businesses, particularly those from disadvantaged communities.

Work Details
The contract involves providing firefighter gear and accessories as specified in Attachment 4A - Bid Sheet for Specifications.
This includes turnout coats and pants as detailed in Attachment 7.
Bidders must comply with the City's Green Purchasing Requirements and may be required to provide samples or specifications for alternate products offered.
The contract will be an indefinite quantity, as-needed basis, meaning there is no guaranteed minimum order amount.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract term is two years with an option for the City to extend it for up to seven additional years, totaling nine years if necessary.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed within the geographic limits of the City and County of San Francisco, with deliveries made to specified locations as outlined in purchase orders issued by the City.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet several Minimum Qualifications (MQ) including:
- Submission of a completed Attachment 2 - Bidder Questionnaire and References by the bid due date;
- Submission of past invoices or contracts evidencing experience in selling similar goods;
- If not the manufacturer, a letter from the manufacturer authorizing them as a dealer/service facility.
There are no Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirements due to the nature of this contract.
