NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD IFB No. 125260 "As Needed" Door Maintenance and Repair Services

Background
The Employment Development Department (EDD) of California is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 125260 for 'As Needed' Door Maintenance and Repair Services.

The purpose of this contract is to provide maintenance and repair services for EDD offices located in Riverside and San Bernardino, ensuring that the facilities remain functional and safe for use.

Work Details
The Contractor will provide the following services:

- Inspections pertaining to repair work orders;
- Consultation/planning on best methods to achieve intended results;
- Completion of maintenance/repair work orders as provided by the EDD Facilities Representative;
- Emergency repairs;
- Repairs normally not exceeding two workdays per task;
- Identification and reporting of safety hazards or faulty equipment;
- Compliance with all state and local policies while on premises.

Specific tasks include checking equipment operation, ensuring moving parts are free of debris, tightening hardware, lubricating parts, installing or repairing crash bars, electronic keypads, and miscellaneous mechanical door repairs. All work must comply with applicable codes and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on May 1, 2026, and will continue through April 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the following EDD office locations:

- 1180 Palmyrita Avenue, Riverside UI, Riverside, CA 92507;
- 1190 Palmyrita Avenue, Riverside DI, Riverside, CA 92507;
- 371 W. Third Street, San Bernardino DI, San Bernardino, CA 92401;
- 480 N. Mountain View Avenue, San Bernardino UI, San Bernardino, CA 92401.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid State of California Contractor’s License D-28. The EDD reserves the right to reject any bids that do not meet specified requirements. Bidders must also provide proof of insurance coverage including general liability insurance ($1 million), automobile liability insurance ($1 million), workers' compensation insurance ($1 million), and environmental liability insurance ($1 million). Additionally, bidders must comply with all applicable state laws regarding tax delinquencies and must submit a completed Bidder Declaration form.
