Notice of Intent to Award a Noncompetitive, Negotiated Contract for Purchase of 36 Rotary Shock Absorbers Supplied by ITT Enidine, INC.

SMART is seeking to procure a total of thirty-six (36) rotary shock absorbers, specifically eighteen (18) ITT Enidine Rotary Shock Absorbers with Part # FP24042 and eighteen (18) ITT Enidine Rotary Shock Absorbers with Part # FP24353, through a negotiated purchase order. The estimated value of this purchase is $50,000. This procurement is being initiated as a noncompetitive, sole-source contract, as SMART believes that ITT Enidine, Inc. is the only source capable of supplying these specific parts. SMART is the requesting agency for this contract. The background for this contract is based on SMART's understanding that these rotary shock absorbers are only available directly from ITT Enidine, Inc., and no other suppliers are known to offer these exact parts. The contract requires the supply of the specified quantities and part numbers of rotary shock absorbers.
