Background
The City of Napa is seeking proposals from professional architectural firms for the planning and design services of a New Public Recreation & Aquatics Center. The project aims to address the recreational facility needs of Napa's diverse and growing community, with a focus on community engagement throughout the design process.
The project will be located at 2447 Old Sonoma Road, Napa, CA 94558, which was recently acquired from the Napa Valley Unified School District as part of a collaborative effort to enhance local recreational opportunities.
Work Details
The scope of services includes three phases:
- Phase I focuses on delivering an approved concept design.
- Phase II involves preparing Plans, Specifications, and Cost Estimates (PS&E).
- Phase III provides construction support.
Specific tasks include:
- Community engagement through interviews, town hall meetings, and public outreach.
- Development of a topographical survey and mapping.
- Creation of two design alternatives with cost estimates.
- Preparation of a Draft Conceptual Design including civil/site layout, grading and drainage design, utilities layout, and recreational facilities.
- Finalization of the Phased Conceptual Design for City Council approval.
- Schematic Design (30% PS&E), Design Development (60% PS&E), Contract Documents (90% & 100% PS&E), Regulatory Permitting, and Bid Phase Support.
Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award in May 2026 and is expected to span multiple phases over several years until project completion.

Bidder Requirements
