New Probation Building Project

Background
The County of Butte Department of General Services is initiating a project for the construction of a new Probation Building. This project aims to replace the existing 24,671 square foot building with a new 26,620 square foot office law enforcement facility for the Butte County Probation Department. The facility will be a two-story structure designed to meet the needs of law enforcement operations.

Work Details
The project includes the demolition of the existing building and the construction of a new facility. Key specifications include:
- Construction materials: Concrete masonry unit (C.M.U.) walls and steel stud framed walls.
- Floor system: Concrete over metal deck supported by open web steel trusses.
- Total estimated cost for the project is $20,800,000.
- The contractor must adhere to all specifications outlined in IFB 53-25 and associated attachments regarding scope of work and submittal requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be performed over a period of 18 months from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at 42 County Center Drive, Oroville, CA.

Bidder Requirements
This solicitation is restricted to contractors who have been pre-qualified under RFQUAL 53-26. Only bids from pre-qualified contractors will be accepted; those not pre-qualified will be deemed non-responsive.
