Moving, Transport, and Relocation Services

Background
The County of Santa Clara is seeking proposals from qualified providers to deliver on-demand relocation, transport, and moving services. The County serves a population of 1.9 million people and operates numerous agencies and departments that require efficient moving services for various facilities. The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive relocation services that include office relocations, equipment transport, and the movement of surplus property between County facilities.

Work Details
The services required under this contract include:

1) Office relocations;
2) Equipment transport;
3) Warehouse inventory transfers;
4) Movement of surplus property between County facilities;
5) Minor furniture and equipment re-assembly and re-installation.

Services may occur within the same building, between nearby buildings, or at off-site locations requiring transport by motorized vehicles. The contractor must supply all labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to perform these services. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for protecting County property during moves and responding to emergency calls as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of three years with options for two additional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the County of Santa Clara, California, including various County facilities and the central property disposal warehouse located in San Jose.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and comply with prevailing wage laws as outlined in California Labor Code sections 1720 and/or 1771. They must also provide proof of insurance and bonding as required by the County.
