Background
The San Marcos Unified School District (SMUSD) is seeking bids for the Milk, Juice & Dairy Bid for the 2026-2027 school year. The goal of this contract is to provide high-quality, fresh, and nutritious dairy products to various schools within the district as part of their Child Nutrition Services Program. The selected vendor(s) will play a crucial role in ensuring that students receive healthy food options.

Work Details
The selected vendor(s) will be responsible for supplying milk, juice, and dairy products to the district's schools. Key requirements include:

- All products must be fresh and delivered in a timely manner.
- Products must be stored and transported under proper refrigeration to maintain quality and safety.
- Compliance with USDA, FDA, and California Department of Education standards is mandatory.
- A dedicated customer service representative must be provided by the vendor to handle inquiries and issues within 24 hours.
- Deliveries must occur regularly at specified school sites using refrigerated trucks.
- Each delivery must include a receipt detailing products delivered and any discrepancies.
- Substitutions are not allowed without prior approval from SMUSD. Any product shortages must be communicated immediately with an estimated resolution timeline.

Period of Performance
The contract will begin on August 1, 2026, and end on July 31, 2027. There is an option for renewal for up to two additional years based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to various school sites within the San Marcos Unified School District located in San Marcos, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a copy of their current business license and certify that all information submitted is true under penalty of perjury. Bidders whose bid amounts exceed $100,000 are required to complete additional certifications regarding suspension, debarment, and lobbying activities. Additionally, bidders must comply with insurance requirements including public liability insurance of at least $1 million.
