Background
Valley Water is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide installation, engineering, and support services for Aviat Eclipse IRU600 all-indoor microwave radios and antennas across multiple sites. The agency's mission is to ensure the delivery of safe, reliable water supply and flood protection for the community. The goal of this contract is to enhance communication infrastructure through the installation of advanced microwave radio technology.
Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services: program and project management, network and transmission engineering, site surveys, installation of antenna systems, waveguide, and indoor radio equipment. Specific tasks include:
1. Mobilization and demobilization
2. Program and Project Management (including bonding, insurance, administration)
3. Path survey and engineering for multiple hops (1-18)
4. Antenna system installation and alignment for each hop
5. Waveguide installation and sweep testing for each hop
6. Radio installation, configuration, integration for each hop
7. Cutover activities and testing for each hop
8. Site restoration and closeout for each hop
9. Additional project tasks including Aviat IRU600/ProVision certified staff, safety program training, FCC licensing services, system-level integration testing, and a one-year workmanship warranty.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period specified in the Notice to Proceed but is expected to be completed within a defined number of calendar days from that date.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed at multiple sites as designated by Valley Water across its service area.
Bidder Requirements
Contractors must have Aviat certification in IRU600 and ProVision NMS with demonstrated experience in large-scale microwave projects. All field engineers must hold these certifications.
